About

The Journey

Cindy is an LA based narrator. She can often be found on a magical adventure with her young son.

Long before she became a mother, she portrayed them in short films, commercial spots and plays. She has also been a knowing tech gal as well as a bumbling online dater in the web series, Un-Natural Selection. She co-wrote, produced and edited two short films about finding love and strength within oneself.

Growing up in Tallahassee, Florida, her parents sent her to Mandarin school on Saturday mornings, when she really wanted to be watching cartoons or reading the next mystery (ie Hardy Boys or Mandie) from the library. She became hooked on Theater in the 8th grade and by senior year, she was a Shakespeare nerd after being cast in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Thinking that she loved cold weather, Cindy headed to Evanston, IL to attend Northwestern University as a Film and TV major. After two blustery Lake Michigan winters, she decided to audition for the Theater program at NYU, where she graduated with a BFA. During her time at NYU, she studied at Playwrights Horizons and Atlantic Theater School.

Even though her heart had never before felt so open, she still couldn’t get used to the cold weather, so she headed to sunny Los Angeles. In addition to pursuing film and TV work, she also became a certified yoga instructor. She found that it calmed her mind and body, which is why she is interested in self-help to this day. She’s also passionate about dog rescue, having rescued two dogs and hiked the many trails of LA and Malibu with them. She has been lucky to pursue other self-led programs in film photography, astrology, makeup, and home improvement - she painstakingly built two stone patios in her backyard.

Cindy joined SAG-AFTRA in 2011. Some of her most memorable training experiences in LA include Carolyne Barry, Lesly Kahn, Upright Citizens Brigade, Talkshop LA and Voicetrax West.

Where once she knew all about the vibrant LA night life in the form of concerts and dance clubs, she now spends her time engaging with her son at car shows, gardens, museums and amusement parks. In seeing the world through his eyes, she has found the true meaning of abundance.

Nightly, she shares her love of books with her son, creating fantastical characters and finding new voices within herself. In the late, late night, you can find her poring over blogs and tutorials about food, sleep schedules, barbering and current events. As an avid student of life experience, she wants to share this passion with other people — the excitement of hearing the next part of the story or to see the world through someone else's perspective. Her voice lends itself well to Contemporary Fiction, Romance, YA, and Children’s books.
